Quarto segredo
Conquistar-se a si próprio.

Conquistar, medir forças, puxar, ultrapassar, querer

Conseguir, aguentar, crescer, saber, envelhecer

Conseguir contrariar o peso.

(Algumas fotografias do trabalho.)

Monologers Hello!
Today I have much to tell you!
As I mentioned in previous posts, I've been working for a work that emerged from the exhibition "A letter choreographic" (April, 2009) of Madalena Victorino. This exhibition / project linking contemporary dance with photography, and was designed to mark the World Day of Theatre Dance in Teatro da Cerca de São Bernardo.
The project is divided into two parts: "The body as a riddle," and "Dance like fable." My work is called "Body Challenge" and is part of the first category I mentioned. Contain images and text, and from these elements we had to create a choreography. The text gave many indications of possible movements and the photographs gave a more realistic sense of movement, which also contributed to the creation of choreography! I leave you here the text that worked, "Body Challenge".

Secret number four
Conquer himself.
Conquer, measuring forces, pull, overcome, want
Achieve, hold, grow, learn, grow old
Getting counteract the weight.

Secret to dance choreography (here)
The body weight can be lighter, stronger, or heavy. Lightweight, when we forget to step on the floor; stronger when we won the gravity and difficulty; heavy when we abandon everything.
Walk with small steps.
Accelerate the pace until it become a slide similar to rollerblading. Right now, carry a big weight on his back. Note the transformation of your steps.
Put up a point in space. Cole feet on the ground and take root its weight until feeling a force that pulls: pulls one side to the other, forward, backward. Try leaning up to the balance. Pick a stance between images, petrifying play it until you feel a sound that breaks the stillness of the body.
Try deadly hands, ankles, elbows and knees.
Walk, run and jump towards the earth.
This work was one of the works that I liked to do because as I said, I'm in love with movement and is closely linked to sensations, things were lived on edge, let your body talk and music to follow.
My class and my teacher really liked the end result of each element and talked a bit about what you saw, I got very positive feedback and I was very pleased to have achieved what we wanted to convey! I had great feelings to carry out this work, it was brilliant!
(Images are on top)
Monologers, take this opportunity to remind you that tomorrow theater debut "The Passion of Young Werther" at the House Theatre of Sintra at 21:30. I wrote a post about this theater can see it here (I'll be there!).
